Friday was a rest day, which I took full advantage of by not exercising and consuming 3 pieces of pizza and like 5 beers at the pool party I hosted after work. Fail.
Because I just couldn't get enough of the sun and chlorine, my cross training today was swimming laps at the pool at the rec center. I swam 1.25 miles... that's 40 laps! That's also the farthest I've ever swam. By the end I thought my arms might fall off. But I rewarded myself with some sunbathing (and paper reading... yuck). I've definitely produced sufficient vitamin D for the weekend. You think that's helpful for long runs? Guess we'll find out... 8 miles tomorrow...
