Days 83 - 85

Friday rest day. Nothing exciting to report there.

Saturday I got brave (and got up early) and went to the Intermediate - Advanced Power Yoga class. I was totally fine. I just had to be familiar with poses and know how to modify poses for myself. It was a great class... closer to the Ashtanga style I liked so much at the other place. I felt really strong and really stretched out afterward. And... I did a really hard balancing pose called Crow that I could never do before... for like 3 seconds. But it was the first time ever, so I was super excited.

Today we did a "half marathon"... we reached that point in our training, but we didn't have a race to run, so we just did 13.1 around town. Finished in 2:31. Not our fastest, but we conquered a lot of hills, and it gives us a time to beat in October. I'm super sore though. It's weird to think we have to run on Tuesday... for our other races, we would be done with training by now and get to take some time off. But we still have so far to go...
